An unforgettable Ferrari action-packed week-end on the Yas Marina Circuit
Abu Dhabi, 20th February – It was another incredible action-packed week-end for Ferrari enthusiasts in Abu Dhabi on the Yas Marina Circuit. The two-day Ferrari Passione event was dedicated to track experiences that enabled guests to enjoy their cars on the Grand Prix circuit.
The event started on Friday with a session dedicated to the award-winning 458 Italia, with clients having the opportunity of trying the full performance potential of their 458 Italia within a safe and controlled environment under the supervision of the ‘Pilota Ferrari’ Official Instructors.
Marc Gené, Scuderia Ferrari official test driver since 2004, made a special appearance to share his skills with Ferrari owners.
The following morning, the Yas Marina Circuit welcomed members of the UAE Ferrari Owners Club who gathered for an outstanding morning break.
In the afternoon, the last session was dedicated to journalists testing the Ferrari California. The journalists were able to enjoy some laps with Marc Gené demonstrating the extraordinary performance and sporty character of the car.
During the day Ferrari also hosted a group of students of the Dubai Autism Centre who enjoyed the thrill of sitting next to Marc Gené driving the Ferrari California on the track.
That same afternoon, an impressive parade of 78 Ferraris took place in Kuwait on occasion of the Concours d’Elegance. The colourful convoy led by a Ferrari California was composed of many present and past models of the Prancing Horse, such as the FF, SA Aperta, 599 GTO, 16M, Challenge Stradale, Daytona and Testarossa, just to name a few.
Pietro Innocenti, General Manager of Ferrari Middle East and Africa said: ‘We are very proud to have Marc with us for this special week-end just a few weeks after his amazing live demonstration with the F1 car in Doha – Qatar. The close relationship between F1 and road cars is unique in Ferrari and Marc is the best ambassador we have to demonstrate that.’
