Mugello circuit is first track in Italy with environmental sustainability certificate
The engagement regarding the environment has taken a further step forward with the EMAS registration, a certificate on a European level, received on 15 September 2012 and held by less than 1,500 institutions and companies in Italy. The Tuscan race track has always been engaged in controlling the environmental impact of its facilities: since 2010 the track is ISO 14001 certified for sustainable management thanks to an organised control system of environmental impact, in a setting of a conscious relationship with the surrounding environment.
“With the activation of an Environment Management System we’re not only respecting the environment and protecting the territory. It is also a stimulus to acquire a specific sense of social responsibility for all the people involved: managers, employees, suppliers and users,” said the circuit’s CEO Paolo Poli.
