Completed just three years ago, Austin’s Circuit of the Americas already holds a firm place in the heart of motorsports fans, being home to the U.S. Formula 1 Grand Prix and this year, it plays host to Ferraris competing in the GT Tour in September. This 20-turn, 3.1-mile track features a unique 133-foot hill at the entrance to Turn 1 that seems like a giant, blacktop ski jump when approaching it at speed. “COTA,” as it is called, also hosts the X Games, MotoGP and The World Endurance Championship series. Height is a repeated theme at COTA, the Turn 1 hill echoed by a beautiful 251-foot observation tower.
