Officially opened in 1990, the museum offers a unique journey through the company’s history, giving visitors the chance to admire some of the most interesting Ferrari cars ever built. The museum also has a Formula 1 section in which the atmosphere of the track is faithfully reproduced, courtesy of a reconstruction of the pit lane using original equipment and a pit wall complete with monitoring system. It furthermore features the Ferrari single-seaters that have won eight Constructors’ and six Drivers’ World titles over the last decade, and a unique display of 18 Formula 1 engines (6, 10 and 12 – cylinders) built between 1981 and the present.
The Museo Ferrari has an entire area devoted specifically to technological innovation, which clearly shows the extent of the technological crossover from the single-seaters to the GT cars in every area. In October 2004, a new wing was added to the museum, further increasing its exhibition space to a total of 2,500 m².
The two-storey structure also includes the Ferrari Store and café. The Museo Ferrari can also bevisited through the official Ferrari website (www.museoferrari.com), where visitors can explore the museum and discover the legendary cars exhibited in its halls. They can also consult a list of the most interesting events hosted by the museum, such as temporary and permanent exhibitions and visitor-oriented initiatives.
