The Pilota Ferrari – Advanced Course is a sports driving course reserved for Ferrari customers who have already completed the Sport Course. It takes place at the Varano Circuit near the city of Parma, a track technologically equipped for sports driving courses with high performance cars. The Advanced Course further develops the techniques and content taught in the Sport course. Participants will learn to drive Ferrari cars to their maximum ability and will acquire advanced skills in fast driving and vehicle control, thanks to more personal instruction and an excellent participant/instructor ratio.
Course instruction is tailored to suit the technical abilities and driving style of each individual participant also aimed at driving performance. The various specialist activities covered include track sessions with onboard data acquisition systems and telemetry analysis, track driving with a pace car, vehicle control under limit conditions and two final skill-based competition with driver rankings. There will also be two driving sessions with 488 Challenge car for each participant on the second day of the course.
20 participants are admitted to each course, and are divided into 4 groups of 5 participants each, with a staff of 11 drivers-instructors.
The Pilota Ferrari Advanced Course is delivered by a select group of professional drivers who have all competed internationally and who have taught for several years on Pilota Ferrari courses. A fleet of three 488 Pista, nine 488 GTB and four 812 Superfast will be made available to participants in 2019. Six 488 Challenge will be available for the participants in the afternoon of the second day for two driving laps on the track. Participants are also welcome to take their own Ferraris around the track at Fiorano at the end of the course.
The course fee includes two days at the track, two nights’ accommodation at Grand Hotel Salsomaggiore ***** in Salsomaggiore (Parma), two evening meals, lunches at the track, transfers between Hotel/Track and personalized Pilota Ferrari Course gifts. Each participant may be accompanied by one or more companions who will be given the opportunity to take part in a special guest program.
The fee per companion includes the following activities: 2 overnight stay at the hotel sharing room with the driver, 2 dinners, access to the track, lunch at the track, cooking lesson, city tour of Parma, SPA treatment.
We recommend casual sports wear for track activities (it is particularly important to choose footwear that is suitable for driving.) There is no specific dress code for dinner on either of the nights.
For safety reasons, we strongly suggest that all clients wishing to take their Ferrari cars out on the track at the end of the course have their vehicles checked beforehand by their regular dealer.
