GT & Sport Cars
More than 100 Ferraris from 35 countries are due to take part in the fifth edition of the Ferrari Cavalcade
Maranello, 22 June 2016 – More than 100 Ferraris driven by customers of 35 different nationalities will star in the Ferrari Cavalcade 2016. This exclusive event will be held from 23 to 26 June in Venice and its magnificent surroundings. As per tradition, the Cavalcade will travel along some of Italy’s most beautiful roads through places whose striking beauty heightens the pleasure of driving a Ferrari.
Ferrari conceived the event in order to bring its customers from all over the world (including America, Japan, the Middle East, South East Asia and New Zealand) to famous places in Italy, promoting Italian excellence in art, history and gastronomy together with the specialities of the local area. The first edition took place in 2012 in Emilia Romagna, while Tuscany was the venue in 2013, Sicily in 2014, and last year saw the turn of Rome.
For the fifth year, Ferrari has chosen the “Serenissima” (as Venice was historically known) as the meeting place. The 100 Ferraris and their crews will depart from Venice every day to discover a variety of stunning scenery and historic sites. They will see the Dolomites with the famous “Three Peaks” of Lavaredo, the Po river delta, Franciacorta, the cities of Padua and Treviso, and the Venetian Villas. As always, there will also be a chance to do a bit of track driving, this time on the Adria circuit. Every day will see an itinerary full of surprises, scenic drives, unforgettable places, and of course, great driving fun.
The 100 Ferraris entered in the event include some of the most iconic models such as the LaFerrari special limited series or the F12tdf along with several cars in the range, and others that have made the history of the Prancing Horse. The event ends with a gala evening and charity auction, whose proceeds will be donated to the preservation of Venice’s historical heritage.
