Ferrari Revs Up Monterey Car Week

From the Concorso Italiano to historic road races
Ferrari history came to life during a re-enactment of the historic Pebble Beach Road Races, which likewise inspired the official poster image for the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Here the depicted Ferrari 166 Mille Miglia leads a road race through Monterey’s Del Monte Forest in 1951. The same car that lead the race all those years ago – together with a half-dozen historic bright red Ferraris including a 340 Mexico Vignale Spyder, a Ferrari 500 Mondial Pinin Farina Spyder Series 1, and a 875S Scaglietti Spyder – joined for the recreation, all of which will be featured on the lawn at Sunday’s Concours d’Elegance in a special class (“Ferrari in the Pebble Beach Road Races”). In fact, no fewer than four special classes comprised of nearly 40 Ferraris will grace the lawn. Last year, the epic 1954 575 MM Scaglietti Coupe was awarded “Best in Show,” and as the official honored marque this year, Ferrari will once again be the center of attention.
The Prancing Horse similarly took the spotlight at the Concorso Italiano, where hundreds of Ferraris, from rising stars to established legends, were featured in a beautiful and relaxed setting suited to both fans and collectors.
At Casa Ferrari, Ferraristi and fans continued to flock along picturesque Route 1 and take a pit stop to snap photos and stage Ferraris of all types and colors in front of the recognizable facade. Inside clients and special guests shared the passion that can only be Ferrari.
