Innovating to grow together

One of the elements that is part of Ferrari’s DNA is the drive to innovate in terms of the product and working methods and the company’s partners also share this desire: clear evidence of that can be seen in the “LaFerrari”, the first hybrid supercar built at Maranello, which is a synthesis of the Prancing Horse’s technical excellence. The contribution made by the partners to this project was very significant and indeed that was the starting point for discussions relating to the future, at the meeting which takes place every year at Maranello between the engineers from the Technical Department, coordinated by Roberto Fedeli and the best technology suppliers.

President Luca di Montezemolo and Managing Director Amedeo Felisa summarised Ferrari’s current innovation strategy, stressing the efforts put into making significant investments in product and production development, confirming at the same time, a reduction in numbers to ensure the exclusivity of the cars.

However, it wasn’t all work as the representatives who were here from over twenty companies ended their day on a real high note and something of a scoop. They got the chance to be driven round the Fiorano track in two prototype “LaFerraris”, driven by two men who, more than anyone, know all there is to know about driving this car: the test drivers, Dario Benuzzi and Raffaele De Simone, who have been part of the evolution of this project right from day one.
